Johnny McCorkle: February 12, 1940 - April 4, 2026

Johnny McCorkle was born in McGregor, Texas, on February 12, 1940, to Oscar and Elnora (Reed) McCorkle. He passed away on April 4, 2026, at the age of 86. A hard-working and beloved man, he spent his life rooted in the community of McGregor, Texas, where he was also a resident.

Johnny graduated from McGregor High School in 1958, beginning a life marked by steady dedication and pride in honest work.

Johnny worked as a butcher for Piggly Wiggly for several years. He later became a truck driver for CTC Corporation, a role he held for over 30 years, reflecting the hard-working spirit that defined him throughout his life.

Johnny, known as Daddy and Pawpaw, is survived by his daughters, Donna Roberts and Patti Raborn; grandchildren, Joe Raborn and wife, Cheyanne, Caitlin Winn and husband, Landon, and Laci Brooks and husband, Gray; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Gracie, Hayes, and Kannon; and his fur babies, Jake and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Graveside Service was held on April 8, 2026, at McGregor Cemetery, with Pastor Nate Moehring officiating.
