Randall Chamblee
June 11, 2026
Randall D. Chamblee, of McGregor, Texas, passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on May 2, 1947, he was the son of Martin Roland Chamblee and Roma Juanita Chamblee.
Randall was a lifelong Texan who called McGregor home. He will be remembered as a man who valued family and the simple joys of everyday life. Those who knew him know that he never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether he had known someone for years or had just met them, he treated everyone like a friend. He was known for his kindness, quiet strength, and leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
While many knew him as Randall, he was most widely known as “Pop.” It was a title he wore with pride, and a title he earned through the deep love and respect he shared with so many that extended beyond family.
He was also known as a sharp-dressed man. Rarely seen without his signature cowboy hat, starched jeans, and crisp button-up shirt, he took pride in his appearance and carried himself with confidence and style. His look became a part of who he was and will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.
Throughout his life, Randall built a respected career in the construction and industrial services industries. He worked for Pledger Construction and later with REDCO Industrial Services, where he earned a reputation for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to his craft. Randall took pride in his work and built lasting relationships with coworkers and friends throughout his career.
Outside of his work, Randall enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved dancing and spending time at the lake, and he was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. However, nothing brought him more joy than sitting back with a cold Diet Coke and watching his grandson, Ryder, play baseball—moments that meant the very most to him.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Roland Chamblee and Roma Juanita Chamblee, and his niece, Renee Alyse Anderson.
He is survived by his children: Roman Chamblee and wife Kristen, Rance Chamblee and wife Michel, Franz Hyland and wife Shaun, Chad Chamblee and wife Karen; his sister, Retha Anderson and her husband, Robert Paul Anderson; his beloved grandchildren, Ryder Chamblee, Micah Ellis, Karlie Chamblee, Kayla Chamblee, Reece Chamblee, and Ryan Chamblee; his nephew, Robert Benjamin Anderson and wife Kaitlyn; his lifelong friend, Vanessa Johnson; and many extended family members and many dear friends who will cherish his memory.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brandy Loredo and Shante Hannibal for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Randall and his family. Their kindness and dedication meant more than words can express during this difficult time.
Randall’s legacy lives on through the lives of his children, grandchildren, family, and all who were touched by his kind yet sometimes stubborn spirit.
