Don Yeager
October 22, 2026
Don Corey Yeager was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend whose life was rooted in family, faith, and the simple joys that made life meaningful. Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Don was born on October 13, 1979, at Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville, Texas. He graduated from McGregor High School and went on to earn his personal training certification through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).
Don worked in production at Blacksmith Offroad in Waco, Texas, where he was grateful for the opportunities he was given and took great pride in his work. He valued being part of a team and appreciated the experiences and relationships his position provided. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, and woodworking, which he had a great talent. He appreciated the outdoors. These interests reflected his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and the time spent doing the things he loved.
Faith was an important part of Don’s life. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in Groveton, Texas, and continued to carry his strong faith throughout his life. His relationship with the Lord remained an important part of who he was.
Family was an important part of Don’s life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love through his three sons: Micah Brown and his girlfriend, Jocelyn of Austin, Texas; Elijah Curtis Yeager of McGregor, Texas; and Don Mark Yeager of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
He is also survived by his parents, Jerry and Brenda (Dawson) Oliver, Don Yeager, and Charlie Grantham; his brothers, Heath Yeager and wife, Melissa of Gholson, Texas, and their children Angel, Caden and Teagan; Matt Oliver and wife, IV of Lorena, Texas, and their children Piper, Emma, Bryce, Brylee and Joy; and his sister, Misty Parsons and husband, Jason, of McGregor, Texas, and their children Dana (Brady) and Alex (Selina).
Don’s family circle extended well beyond his immediate family. He leaves behind beloved great-nieces, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory. His family also includes those who shared in life’s milestones, offered love and support, and helped create the memories that will remain.
Don was preceded in death by his grandparents, including Franklin and June Yeager, Billy and Imogene Dawson, and Frances Oliver, along with his uncles Jackie Dawson, Danny Dawson, Donnie Dawson, Bob Dawson, Johnny Oliver, aunts Lisa Oliver and Rhonda Yeager, and cousin Julie Henager.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to their family, friends, and neighbors who have supported them and stood beside them through these difficult times. Their kindness, love, prayers, and compassion have meant more than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to a church of your choice.
Though Don’s life on earth has ended, his memory will continue to live on through his sons, his family, and everyone whose life he touched. May he rest in the peace of the Lord he loved and trusted.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
