Monty Ray Fulp

Monty Ray Fulp of Crawford passed away suddenly Saturday night, May 14, 2022, in Lorena, Texas, at the age of 23. A visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in the Parlor of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr. The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the Chapel of Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Crawford Cemetery.
Monty was born January 13, 1999, in Waco, Texas, the son of Monty Ray Fulp, Jr. and Jeannie Rebecca (Vandiver) Fulp. He was a 2017, graduate of McGregor High School. Monty had a carefree spirit and lived his life in the same manner. He had a smile that would brighten any room. When he wasn’t taking care of his son, Sterlynn Ray, you would find him welding and helping his dad on the farm. He always put the needs of others before himself. Monty touched many lives in his short 23 years on this earth and will be loved and missed by family and friends.

Monty is preceded in death by his grandparents, Monty Ray Fulp, Sr. and wife, Shirley; grandfather, Michael Meade; great-grandmother, Margaret Ann Cornelius; uncle, Charles Kermit Vandiver, Jr.; cousins, James Pete and Shae Vandiver; and lifelong friend, Marshall Shoesmith.

He is survived by his mother, Jennie Fulp of McGregor; his father, Monty Ray Fulp, Jr. and wife, Shelly, of Crawford; a brother, Matthew Anzualda of McGregor; and a sister, Kristi Johnson and husband, Robert, of Moody. He is also survived by his son, 8-month old Sterlynn Ray Fulp of Gatesville, and his grandparents, Tara Meade of Crawford, Dotty Tieben of McGregor, and aunts, Candy Ayers of Gatesville and Sherri Carnes and husband, Thomas, of Speegleville, as well as many great- aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
