Paul Reid Thomas

Paul Reid Thomas, 68, passed away October 18, 2022, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Inurnment will occur at a later date under the direction of Grace Gardens Funeral Home and Crematorium in McGregor Cemetery

Paul was born December 9, 1953, to Wallace Hilton and Fern (Hartgraves) Thomas in Gatesville, Texas.
While growing up, Paul enjoyed being a member of the local Boy Scout Troop 254 and spending summers at Camp Tahuaya. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1969.

He graduated from McGregor High School in 1972, and later enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served for 10 years as an aircraft navigation system technician, as well as a technical instructor.

After discharge from the U.S. Navy, Paul continued his career working in aircraft technical and navigation systems.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Wallace Hilton and Fern Thomas.

Survivors include a brother, James H. Thomas and wife, Mary Jane, of Llano, TX; a sister, Leslie T. White of North Richland Hills, TX; a niece, Lara T Burdette and husband, Matthew; two nephews, Andrew Thomas and David Thomas; and great-niece and nephews Lilah Burdette, Ryan Burdette, and Miles Thomas. Also surviving Paul are numerous cousins and friends.
