Mike Wilson

Kenneth “Mike” Wilson, of McGregor, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, surrounded by his family.

A graveside service celebrating his life will be Friday, May 10 at 2:00 pm at Davidson Cemetery with Richard Skipper officiating.

Mike was born March 13, 1943, to parents Cliff and Johnnie F. Wilson. He attended McGregor schools and graduated from McGregor High School. He went on to Tyler Junior College and received an Associate in Engineering degree. On July 27, 1962, he married Nita Edwards. He was employed by Smith Pump Co. for 34 years until his retirement in 2009.

Mike enjoyed reading books, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved the time he spent with his buddies at the deer lease. He took special pleasure in watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in their activities and took great pride in their accomplishments. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Johnnie Wilson; wife Nita (Edwards) Wilson.

Mike is survived by his special friend, Hope Huffman; daughters, Shera Wilson; Mendi Norwood and husband Randy; grandchildren, Tylor Wilson and wife Olivia; Skylar Allison and husband Troy; Mady Norwood and fiancé Devon Patterson; great-grandchildren, Tatum Fox, Bodhi Allison; Tapley and Trace Wilson.
